A Friend Indeed

"A Friend's Love"

Love is a journey,
True love's without end,
Around love's next corner,
Lives love from a friend.

Famous Poet

*
Did you know that South Australia has a conservation park dedicated to a poet? Near the fishing village of Port MacDonnell, tiny Dingley Dell Conservation Park was the home of one of Australia's most famed poets, Adam Lindsay Gordon. He lived at Dingley Dell from 1864 until 1867 and was also known throughout the region for daring feats of horsemanship. Historic Dingley Dell Cottage contains a display of his life, his works and the history of the cottage.
Tours are available every day (except Christmas Day) from 10am to 4pm.

Caveman came

He came, He saw, He conked her,
Before too long he bonked her,
Adam, flushed, his seed was sown,
Around the world, his deed was known,
Eve, he saw, was cute and beaut,
He partook forbidden fruit,
Pitter, patter, little feet,
Population soon replete.

I Want To Be Dead

"I want to be dead",
What a strange thing to say.
She said it to me, it was only today.
"I need a good rest, to lay down in a grave".
My Goodness! My Gosh! What a way to behave.

There's more that she said as she told me her tale,
"I'm keen", she would say, "I'm real keen that I fail".
I gasped and I sighed as she spoke to me smugly,
"I don't look like a girl, I'm a man and I'm ugly".

"I live well alone 'cause I live as a hermit,
I don't drive a car, have no licence or permit
Daughter, come here, get right out of that park
No playing with boys, at this hour, in the dark".

Imagine my thoughts, I at peace in the south,
She settles her debts with a punch in the mouth.
Her partner won't speak, he just can't take a chance,
He knows, in her house, that it's she wears the pants.

I summon up strength, I have something to say,
I shake and I quiver, she's made me that way.
The things that she said made me think she's a ghoul,
When all's said and done, though, the lady's DEAD KOOL.
